Integrate litep2p into Polkadot SDK (#2944)
[litep2p](https://github.com/altonen/litep2p) is a libp2p-compatible P2P networking library. It supports all of the features of `rust-libp2p` that are currently being utilized by Polkadot SDK. Compared to `rust-libp2p`, `litep2p` has a quite different architecture which is why the new `litep2p` network backend is only able to use a little of the existing code in `sc-network`. The design has been mainly influenced by how we'd wish to structure our networking-related code in Polkadot SDK: independent higher-levels protocols directly communicating with the network over links that support bidirectional backpressure. A good example would be `NotificationHandle`/`RequestResponseHandle` abstractions which allow, e.g., `SyncingEngine` to directly communicate with peers to announce/request blocks. I've tried running `polkadot --network-backend litep2p` with a few different peer configurations and there is a noticeable reduction in networking CPU usage. For high load (`--out-peers 200`), networking CPU usage goes down from ~110% to ~30% (80 pp) and for normal load (`--out-peers 40`), the usage goes down from ~55% to ~18% (37 pp). These should not be taken as final numbers because: a) there are still some low-hanging optimization fruits, such as enabling [receive window auto-tuning](https://github.com/libp2p/rust-yamux/pull/176), integrating `Peerset` more closely with `litep2p` or improving memory usage of the WebSocket transport b) fixing bugs/instabilities that incorrectly cause `litep2p` to do less work will increase the networking CPU usage c) verification in a more diverse set of tests/conditions is needed Nevertheless, these numbers should give an early estimate for CPU usage of the new networking backend. This PR consists of three separate changes: * introduce a generic `PeerId` (wrapper around `Multihash`) so that we don't have use `NetworkService::PeerId` in every part of the code that uses a `PeerId` * introduce `NetworkBackend` trait, implement it for the libp2p network stack and make Polkadot SDK generic over `NetworkBackend` * implement `NetworkBackend` for litep2p The new library should be considered experimental which is why `rust-libp2p` will remain as the default option for the time being. This PR currently depends on the master branch of `litep2p` but I'll cut a new release for the library once all review comments have been addresses. --------- Signed-off-by: Alexandru Vasile <alexandru.vasile@parity.io> Co-authored-by: Dmitry Markin <dmitry@markin.tech> Co-authored-by: Alexandru Vasile <60601340+lexnv@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: Alexandru Vasile <alexandru.vasile@parity.io> |

[FRAME] Runtime Omni Bencher (#3512)
This MR contains two major changes and some maintenance cleanup. ## 1. Free Standing Pallet Benchmark Runner Closes https://github.com/paritytech/polkadot-sdk/issues/3045, depends on your runtime exposing the `GenesisBuilderApi` (like https://github.com/paritytech/polkadot-sdk/pull/1492). Introduces a new binary crate: `frame-omni-bencher`. It allows to directly benchmark a WASM blob - without needing a node or chain spec. This makes it much easier to generate pallet weights and should allow us to remove bloaty code from the node. It should work for all FRAME runtimes that dont use 3rd party host calls or non `BlakeTwo256` block hashing (basically all polkadot parachains should work). It is 100% backwards compatible with the old CLI args, when the `v1` compatibility command is used. This is done to allow for forwards compatible addition of new commands. ### Example (full example in the Rust docs) Installing the CLI: ```sh cargo install --locked --path substrate/utils/frame/omni-bencher frame-omni-bencher --help ``` Building the Westend runtime: ```sh cargo build -p westend-runtime --release --features runtime-benchmarks ``` Benchmarking the runtime: ```sh frame-omni-bencher v1 benchmark pallet --runtime target/release/wbuild/westend-runtime/westend_runtime.compact.compressed.wasm --all ``` ## 2. Building the Benchmark Genesis State in the Runtime Closes https://github.com/paritytech/polkadot-sdk/issues/2664 This adds `--runtime` and `--genesis-builder=none|runtime|spec` arguments to the `benchmark pallet` command to make it possible to generate the genesis storage by the runtime. This can be used with both the node and the freestanding benchmark runners. It utilizes the new `GenesisBuilder` RA and depends on having https://github.com/paritytech/polkadot-sdk/pull/3412 deployed. ## 3. Simpler args for `PalletCmd::run` You can do three things here to integrate the changes into your node: - nothing: old code keeps working as before but emits a deprecated warning - delete: remove the pallet benchmarking code from your node and use the omni-bencher instead - patch: apply the patch below and keep using as currently. This emits a deprecated warning at runtime, since it uses the old way to generate a genesis state, but is the smallest change. ```patch runner.sync_run(|config| cmd - .run::<HashingFor<Block>, ReclaimHostFunctions>(config) + .run_with_spec::<HashingFor<Block>, ReclaimHostFunctions>(Some(config.chain_spec)) ) ``` ## 4. Maintenance Change - `pallet-nis` get a `BenchmarkSetup` config item to prepare its counterparty asset. - Add percent progress print when running benchmarks. - Dont immediately exit on benchmark error but try to run as many as possible and print errors last. --------- Signed-off-by: Oliver Tale-Yazdi <oliver.tale-yazdi@parity.io> Co-authored-by: Liam Aharon <liam.aharon@hotmail.com> |

FRAME: Create TransactionExtension as a replacement for SignedExtension (#2280)
Closes #2160 First part of [Extrinsic Horizon](https://github.com/paritytech/polkadot-sdk/issues/2415) Introduces a new trait `TransactionExtension` to replace `SignedExtension`. Introduce the idea of transactions which obey the runtime's extensions and have according Extension data (né Extra data) yet do not have hard-coded signatures. Deprecate the terminology of "Unsigned" when used for transactions/extrinsics owing to there now being "proper" unsigned transactions which obey the extension framework and "old-style" unsigned which do not. Instead we have __*General*__ for the former and __*Bare*__ for the latter. (Ultimately, the latter will be phased out as a type of transaction, and Bare will only be used for Inherents.) Types of extrinsic are now therefore: - Bare (no hardcoded signature, no Extra data; used to be known as "Unsigned") - Bare transactions (deprecated): Gossiped, validated with `ValidateUnsigned` (deprecated) and the `_bare_compat` bits of `TransactionExtension` (deprecated). - Inherents: Not gossiped, validated with `ProvideInherent`. - Extended (Extra data): Gossiped, validated via `TransactionExtension`. - Signed transactions (with a hardcoded signature). - General transactions (without a hardcoded signature). `TransactionExtension` differs from `SignedExtension` because: - A signature on the underlying transaction may validly not be present. - It may alter the origin during validation. - `pre_dispatch` is renamed to `prepare` and need not contain the checks present in `validate`. - `validate` and `prepare` is passed an `Origin` rather than a `AccountId`. - `validate` may pass arbitrary information into `prepare` via a new user-specifiable type `Val`. - `AdditionalSigned`/`additional_signed` is renamed to `Implicit`/`implicit`. It is encoded *for the entire transaction* and passed in to each extension as a new argument to `validate`. This facilitates the ability of extensions to acts as underlying crypto. There is a new `DispatchTransaction` trait which contains only default function impls and is impl'ed for any `TransactionExtension` impler. It provides several utility functions which reduce some of the tedium from using `TransactionExtension` (indeed, none of its regular functions should now need to be called directly). Three transaction version discriminator ("versions") are now permissible: - 0b000000100: Bare (used to be called "Unsigned"): contains Signature or Extra (extension data). After bare transactions are no longer supported, this will strictly identify an Inherents only. - 0b100000100: Old-school "Signed" Transaction: contains Signature and Extra (extension data). - 0b010000100: New-school "General" Transaction: contains Extra (extension data), but no Signature. For the New-school General Transaction, it becomes trivial for authors to publish extensions to the mechanism for authorizing an Origin, e.g. through new kinds of key-signing schemes, ZK proofs, pallet state, mutations over pre-authenticated origins or any combination of the above. ## Code Migration ### NOW: Getting it to build Wrap your `SignedExtension`s in `AsTransactionExtension`. This should be accompanied by renaming your aggregate type in line with the new terminology. E.g. Before: ```rust /// The SignedExtension to the basic transaction logic. pub type SignedExtra = ( /* snip */ MySpecialSignedExtension, ); /// Unchecked extrinsic type as expected by this runtime. pub type UncheckedExtrinsic = generic::UncheckedExtrinsic<Address, RuntimeCall, Signature, SignedExtra>; ``` After: ```rust /// The extension to the basic transaction logic. pub type TxExtension = ( /* snip */ AsTransactionExtension<MySpecialSignedExtension>, ); /// Unchecked extrinsic type as expected by this runtime. pub type UncheckedExtrinsic = generic::UncheckedExtrinsic<Address, RuntimeCall, Signature, TxExtension>; ``` You'll also need to alter any transaction building logic to add a `.into()` to make the conversion happen. E.g. Before: ```rust fn construct_extrinsic( /* snip */ ) -> UncheckedExtrinsic { let extra: SignedExtra = ( /* snip */ MySpecialSignedExtension::new(/* snip */), ); let payload = SignedPayload::new(call.clone(), extra.clone()).unwrap(); let signature = payload.using_encoded(|e| sender.sign(e)); UncheckedExtrinsic::new_signed( /* snip */ Signature::Sr25519(signature), extra, ) } ``` After: ```rust fn construct_extrinsic( /* snip */ ) -> UncheckedExtrinsic { let tx_ext: TxExtension = ( /* snip */ MySpecialSignedExtension::new(/* snip */).into(), ); let payload = SignedPayload::new(call.clone(), tx_ext.clone()).unwrap(); let signature = payload.using_encoded(|e| sender.sign(e)); UncheckedExtrinsic::new_signed( /* snip */ Signature::Sr25519(signature), tx_ext, ) } ``` ### SOON: Migrating to `TransactionExtension` Most `SignedExtension`s can be trivially converted to become a `TransactionExtension`. There are a few things to know. - Instead of a single trait like `SignedExtension`, you should now implement two traits individually: `TransactionExtensionBase` and `TransactionExtension`. - Weights are now a thing and must be provided via the new function `fn weight`. #### `TransactionExtensionBase` This trait takes care of anything which is not dependent on types specific to your runtime, most notably `Call`. - `AdditionalSigned`/`additional_signed` is renamed to `Implicit`/`implicit`. - Weight must be returned by implementing the `weight` function. If your extension is associated with a pallet, you'll probably want to do this via the pallet's existing benchmarking infrastructure. #### `TransactionExtension` Generally: - `pre_dispatch` is now `prepare` and you *should not reexecute the `validate` functionality in there*! - You don't get an account ID any more; you get an origin instead. If you need to presume an account ID, then you can use the trait function `AsSystemOriginSigner::as_system_origin_signer`. - You get an additional ticket, similar to `Pre`, called `Val`. This defines data which is passed from `validate` into `prepare`. This is important since you should not be duplicating logic from `validate` to `prepare`, you need a way of passing your working from the former into the latter. This is it. - This trait takes two type parameters: `Call` and `Context`. `Call` is the runtime call type which used to be an associated type; you can just move it to become a type parameter for your trait impl. `Context` is not currently used and you can safely implement over it as an unbounded type. - There's no `AccountId` associated type any more. Just remove it. Regarding `validate`: - You get three new parameters in `validate`; all can be ignored when migrating from `SignedExtension`. - `validate` returns a tuple on success; the second item in the tuple is the new ticket type `Self::Val` which gets passed in to `prepare`. If you use any information extracted during `validate` (off-chain and on-chain, non-mutating) in `prepare` (on-chain, mutating) then you can pass it through with this. For the tuple's last item, just return the `origin` argument. Regarding `prepare`: - This is renamed from `pre_dispatch`, but there is one change: - FUNCTIONALITY TO VALIDATE THE TRANSACTION NEED NOT BE DUPLICATED FROM `validate`!! - (This is different to `SignedExtension` which was required to run the same checks in `pre_dispatch` as in `validate`.) Regarding `post_dispatch`: - Since there are no unsigned transactions handled by `TransactionExtension`, `Pre` is always defined, so the first parameter is `Self::Pre` rather than `Option<Self::Pre>`. If you make use of `SignedExtension::validate_unsigned` or `SignedExtension::pre_dispatch_unsigned`, then: - Just use the regular versions of these functions instead. - Have your logic execute in the case that the `origin` is `None`. - Ensure your transaction creation logic creates a General Transaction rather than a Bare Transaction; this means having to include all `TransactionExtension`s' data. - `ValidateUnsigned` can still be used (for now) if you need to be able to construct transactions which contain none of the extension data, however these will be phased out in stage 2 of the Transactions Horizon, so you should consider moving to an extension-centric design. ## TODO - [x] Introduce `CheckSignature` impl of `TransactionExtension` to ensure it's possible to have crypto be done wholly in a `TransactionExtension`. - [x] Deprecate `SignedExtension` and move all uses in codebase to `TransactionExtension`. - [x] `ChargeTransactionPayment` - [x] `DummyExtension` - [x] `ChargeAssetTxPayment` (asset-tx-payment) - [x] `ChargeAssetTxPayment` (asset-conversion-tx-payment) - [x] `CheckWeight` - [x] `CheckTxVersion` - [x] `CheckSpecVersion` - [x] `CheckNonce` - [x] `CheckNonZeroSender` - [x] `CheckMortality` - [x] `CheckGenesis` - [x] `CheckOnlySudoAccount` - [x] `WatchDummy` - [x] `PrevalidateAttests` - [x] `GenericSignedExtension` - [x] `SignedExtension` (chain-polkadot-bulletin) - [x] `RefundSignedExtensionAdapter` - [x] Implement `fn weight` across the board. - [ ] Go through all pre-existing extensions which assume an account signer and explicitly handle the possibility of another kind of origin. - [x] `CheckNonce` should probably succeed in the case of a non-account origin. - [x] `CheckNonZeroSender` should succeed in the case of a non-account origin. - [x] `ChargeTransactionPayment` and family should fail in the case of a non-account origin. - Extract warp sync strategy from ChainSync (#2467)
Extract `WarpSync` (and `StateSync` as part of warp sync) from `ChainSync` as independent syncing strategy called by `SyncingEngine`. Introduce `SyncingStrategy` enum as a proxy between `SyncingEngine` and specific syncing strategies. ## Limitations Gap sync is kept in `ChainSync` for now because it shares the same set of peers as block syncing implementation in `ChainSync`. Extraction of a common context responsible for peer management in syncing strategies able to run in parallel is planned for a follow-up PR. ## Further improvements A possibility of conversion of `SyncingStartegy` into a trait should be evaluated. The main stopper for this is that different strategies need to communicate different actions to `SyncingEngine` and respond to different events / provide different APIs (e.g., requesting justifications is only possible via `ChainSync` and not through `WarpSync`; `SendWarpProofRequest` action is only relevant to `WarpSync`, etc.) --------- Co-authored-by: Aaro Altonen <48052676+altonen@users.noreply.github.com> |

Improve storage monitor API (#2899)
This removes the need to unnecessarily provide a very specific data structure `DatabaseSource` and removes huge `sc-client-db` dependency from storage monitor. It is now possible to use storage monitor with any path. P.S. I still strongly dislike that it pulls `clap` dependency for such a small feature, but many other crates do as well, so nothing special here. |

Rework the event system of sc-network (#1370)
This commit introduces a new concept called `NotificationService` which allows Polkadot protocols to communicate with the underlying notification protocol implementation directly, without routing events through `NetworkWorker`. This implies that each protocol has its own service which it uses to communicate with remote peers and that each `NotificationService` is unique with respect to the underlying notification protocol, meaning `NotificationService` for the transaction protocol can only be used to send and receive transaction-related notifications. The `NotificationService` concept introduces two additional benefits: * allow protocols to start using custom handshakes * allow protocols to accept/reject inbound peers Previously the validation of inbound connections was solely the responsibility of `ProtocolController`. This caused issues with light peers and `SyncingEngine` as `ProtocolController` would accept more peers than `SyncingEngine` could accept which caused peers to have differing views of their own states. `SyncingEngine` would reject excess peers but these rejections were not properly communicated to those peers causing them to assume that they were accepted. With `NotificationService`, the local handshake is not sent to remote peer if peer is rejected which allows it to detect that it was rejected. This commit also deprecates the use of `NetworkEventStream` for all notification-related events and going forward only DHT events are provided through `NetworkEventStream`. If protocols wish to follow each other's events, they must introduce additional abtractions, as is done for GRANDPA and transactions protocols by following the syncing protocol through `SyncEventStream`. Adds syntax for marking calls feeless (#1926)
Fixes https://github.com/paritytech/polkadot-sdk/issues/1725 This PR adds the following changes: 1. An attribute `pallet::feeless_if` that can be optionally attached to a call like so: ```rust #[pallet::feeless_if(|_origin: &OriginFor<T>, something: &u32| -> bool { *something == 0 })] pub fn do_something(origin: OriginFor<T>, something: u32) -> DispatchResult { .... } ``` The closure passed accepts references to arguments as specified in the call fn. It returns a boolean that denotes the conditions required for this call to be "feeless". 2. A signed extension `SkipCheckIfFeeless<T: SignedExtension>` that wraps a transaction payment processor such as `pallet_transaction_payment::ChargeTransactionPayment`. It checks for all calls annotated with `pallet::feeless_if` to see if the conditions are met. If so, the wrapped signed extension is not called, essentially making the call feeless. In order to use this, you can simply replace your existing signed extension that manages transaction payment like so: ```diff - pallet_transaction_payment::ChargeTransactionPayment<Runtime>, + pallet_skip_feeless_payment::SkipCheckIfFeeless< + Runtime, + pallet_transaction_payment::ChargeTransactionPayment<Runtime>, + >, ``` ### Todo - [x] Tests - [x] Docs - [x] Prdoc --------- Co-authored-by: Nikhil Gupta <> Co-authored-by: Oliver Tale-Yazdi <oliver.tale-yazdi@parity.io> Co-authored-by: Francisco Aguirre <franciscoaguirreperez@gmail.com> Co-authored-by: Liam Aharon <liam.aharon@hotmail.com> |

chain-spec: getting ready for native-runtime-free world (#1256)
This PR prepares chains specs for _native-runtime-free_ world. This PR has following changes: - `substrate`: - adds support for: - JSON based `GenesisConfig` to `ChainSpec` allowing interaction with runtime `GenesisBuilder` API. - interacting with arbitrary runtime wasm blob to[ `chain-spec-builder`](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/blob/3ef576eaeb3f42610e85daecc464961cf1295570/bin/utils/chain-spec-builder/src/lib.rs#L46) command line util, - removes [`code`](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/blob/3ef576eaeb3f42610e85daecc464961cf1295570/frame/system/src/lib.rs#L660) from `system_pallet` - adds `code` to the `ChainSpec` - deprecates [`ChainSpec::from_genesis`](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/blob/3ef576eaeb3f42610e85daecc464961cf1295570/client/chain-spec/src/chain_spec.rs#L263), but also changes the signature of this method extending it with `code` argument. [`ChainSpec::builder()`](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/blob/20bee680ed098be7239cf7a6b804cd4de267983e/client/chain-spec/src/chain_spec.rs#L507) should be used instead. - `polkadot`: - all references to `RuntimeGenesisConfig` in `node/service` are removed, - all `(kusama|polkadot|versi|rococo|wococo)_(staging|dev)_genesis_config` functions now return the JSON patch for default runtime `GenesisConfig`, - `ChainSpecBuilder` is used, `ChainSpec::from_genesis` is removed, - `cumulus`: - `ChainSpecBuilder` is used, `ChainSpec::from_genesis` is removed, - _JSON_ patch configuration used instead of `RuntimeGenesisConfig struct` in all chain specs. --------- Co-authored-by: command-bot <> Co-authored-by: Javier Viola <javier@parity.io> Co-authored-by: Davide Galassi <davxy@datawok.net> Co-authored-by: Francisco Aguirre <franciscoaguirreperez@gmail.com> Co-authored-by: Kevin Krone <kevin@parity.io> Co-authored-by: Bastian Köcher <git@kchr.de> |

Mixnet integration (#1346)
See #1345, <https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/pull/14207>. This adds all the necessary mixnet components, and puts them together in the "kitchen-sink" node/runtime. The components added are: - A pallet (`frame/mixnet`). This is responsible for determining the current mixnet session and phase, and the mixnodes to use in each session. It provides a function that validators can call to register a mixnode for the next session. The logic of this pallet is very similar to that of the `im-online` pallet. - A service (`client/mixnet`). This implements the core mixnet logic, building on the `mixnet` crate. The service communicates with other nodes using notifications sent over the "mixnet" protocol. - An RPC interface. This currently only supports sending transactions over the mixnet. --------- Co-authored-by: David Emett <dave@sp4m.net> Co-authored-by: Javier Viola <javier@parity.io> |

Modular block request handler (#1524)
Submit the outstanding PRs from the old repos(these were already reviewed and approved before the repo rorg, but not yet submitted): Main PR: https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/pull/14014 Companion PRs: https://github.com/paritytech/polkadot/pull/7134, https://github.com/paritytech/cumulus/pull/2489 The changes in the PR: 1. ChainSync currently calls into the block request handler directly. Instead, move the block request handler behind a trait. This allows new protocols to be plugged into ChainSync. 2. BuildNetworkParams is changed so that custom relay protocol implementations can be (optionally) passed in during network creation time. If custom protocol is not specified, it defaults to the existing block handler 3. BlockServer and BlockDownloader traits are introduced for the protocol implementation. The existing block handler has been changed to implement these traits 4. Other changes: [X] Make TxHash serializable. This is needed for exchanging the serialized hash in the relay protocol messages [X] Clean up types no longer used(OpaqueBlockRequest, OpaqueBlockResponse) --------- Co-authored-by: Dmitry Markin <dmitry@markin.tech> Co-authored-by: command-bot <> |

Prepare sc-network for ProtocolController/NotificationService (#14080)
* Prepare `sc-network` for `ProtocolController`/`NotificationService` The upcoming notification protocol refactoring requires that protocols are able to communicate with `sc-network` over unique and direct links. This means that `sc-network` side of the link has to be created before `sc-network` is initialized and that it is allowed to consume the object as the receiver half of the link may not implement `Clone`. Remove request-response and notification protocols from `NetworkConfiguration` and create a new object that contains the configurations of these protocols and which is consumable by `sc-network`. This is needed needed because, e.g., the receiver half of `NotificationService` is not clonable so `sc-network` must consume it when it's initializing the protocols in `Notifications`. Similar principe applies to `PeerStore`/`ProtocolController`: as per current design, protocols are created before the network so `Protocol` cannot be the one creating the `PeerStore` object. `FullNetworkConfiguration` will be used to store the objects that `sc-network` will use to communicate with protocols and it will also allow protocols to allocate handles so they can directly communicate with `sc-network`. * Fixes * Update client/service/src/builder.rs Co-authored-by: Dmitry Markin <dmitry@markin.tech> * Updates * Doc updates + cargo-fmt --------- Co-authored-by: Dmitry Markin <dmitry@markin.tech> |

Extract syncing protocol from sc-network (#12828)
* Move import queue out of `sc-network` Add supplementary asynchronous API for the import queue which means it can be run as an independent task and communicated with through the `ImportQueueService`. This commit removes removes block and justification imports from `sc-network` and provides `ChainSync` with a handle to import queue so it can import blocks and justifications. Polling of the import queue is moved complete out of `sc-network` and `sc_consensus::Link` is implemented for `ChainSyncInterfaceHandled` so the import queue can still influence the syncing process. * Move stuff to SyncingEngine * Move `ChainSync` instanation to `SyncingEngine` Some of the tests have to be rewritten * Move peer hashmap to `SyncingEngine` * Let `SyncingEngine` to implement `ChainSyncInterface` * Introduce `SyncStatusProvider` * Move `sync_peer_(connected|disconnected)` to `SyncingEngine` * Implement `SyncEventStream` Remove `SyncConnected`/`SyncDisconnected` events from `NetworkEvenStream` and provide those events through `ChainSyncInterface` instead. Modify BEEFY/GRANDPA/transactions protocol and `NetworkGossip` to take `SyncEventStream` object which they listen to for incoming sync peer events. * Introduce `ChainSyncInterface` This interface provides a set of miscellaneous functions that other subsystems can use to query, for example, the syncing status. * Move event stream polling to `SyncingEngine` Subscribe to `NetworkStreamEvent` and poll the incoming notifications and substream events from `SyncingEngine`. The code needs refactoring. * Make `SyncingEngine` into an asynchronous runner This commits removes the last hard dependency of syncing from `sc-network` meaning the protocol now lives completely outside of `sc-network`, ignoring the hardcoded peerset entry which will be addressed in the future. Code needs a lot of refactoring. * Fix warnings * Code refactoring * Use `SyncingService` for BEEFY * Use `SyncingService` for GRANDPA * Remove call delegation from `NetworkService` * Remove `ChainSyncService` * Remove `ChainSync` service tests They were written for the sole purpose of verifying that `NetworWorker` continues to function while the calls are being dispatched to `ChainSync`. * Refactor code * Refactor code * Update client/finality-grandpa/src/communication/tests.rs Co-authored-by: Anton <anton.kalyaev@gmail.com> * Fix warnings * Apply review comments * Fix docs * Fix test * cargo-fmt * Update client/network/sync/src/engine.rs Co-authored-by: Anton <anton.kalyaev@gmail.com> * Update client/network/sync/src/engine.rs Co-authored-by: Anton <anton.kalyaev@gmail.com> * Add missing docs * Refactor code --------- Co-authored-by: Anton <anton.kalyaev@gmail.com> |
